(1) It shall be the duty of everyone to provide necessary services, facilities and assistance to senior citizens in public vehicles, public works, health services, religious and public places.
(2) The owner or operator of the public vehicle of the type specified by the Government of Nepal by publishing a public notice shall reserve at least two seats for the senior citizen and shall give him at least a fifty percent discount on the passenger fare.
(3) Every organization that provides health services should give priority to senior citizens and provide health services.
(4) Institutions providing health services designated by the Government of Nepal shall give at least a fifty percent discount on the fees charged to senior citizens of the number designated by the Government of Nepal for treatment in such institutions.
(5) Other organizations that provide public services including water, electricity, and telephone should give priority to senior citizens when providing services.
(6) In addition to the exemptions and facilities mentioned in this section, the Government of Nepal may publish notices in the Nepal Gazette and give other exemptions and facilities to senior citizens from time to time.
